Interior Design and Decoration Residential and Commercial New Construction and Renovation

About Us: Professional Design Qualifications

Our studio is built on years of design education, experience and certifications.  We encourage all clients searching for interior design assistance, to research industry requirements and standards when hiring an interior designer or decorator.  Not all states in the USA, have the licensing restrictions for interior designers as other professional do (Medical Doctors, Architects or Lawyers) meaning that just about anyone can hang a shingle and call themselves an interior designer or decorator.  We encourage anyone who is searching for interior design services to carefully research the background and qualifications of anyone they are considering. References should be checked and a face to face meeting with the designer is highly recommended to make sure your personalities will work together.  Designing your home is a very personal experience, and you need to be able to communicate openly and comfortably with your designer.  You also need to be comfortable that your money is being spent for reputable design assistance.

Cindy Kelly brings 10 years of business and design education, 27 years of practical "hands-on" experience and many successful projects to the studio.  She passed the National Council of Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) exam in 1989, and has been a "Professional Member" of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and the National Furnishings and Design Association throughout her professional career.  Many clients become personal friends of Cindy and the studio members long after their project is completed due to the positive project experience, successful design solutions and enjoyable time spent working together.

Designers who work for the studio carry a minimum of a four year interior design degree from an accredited design school.  They are encouraged to become certified designers by taking their NCIDQ exam once they are qualified.

The studio also employs student interns from qualified interior design schools, providing them the practical experience needed to become certified designers.  Our interns assist with the day to day office tasks, including: library filing and organization, answering phones, assisting with our retail orders, shipping and receiving and accompanying Cindy to project meetings and job sites.
